London’s 45 Park Lane has introduced the latest installment in Dorchester Collection’s series of bespoke private walking trails, created so hotel guests can trace the lives and influences of famous artists. The new trail, Hepworth – Rhythm and Form, returns visitors to the world of the Hampstead Modernists and follows the success of previous trails such as Picasso’s Montmartre and Monet – Revolutionary Brushstrokes in Paris, and Caravaggio – Rebel and Rome in Rome.

“Following the success of our Legendary Artists trails at Le Meurice in Paris and Hotel Eden in Rome, we are delighted to present Hepworth – Rhythm and Form as the first London trail at 45 Park Lane. The hotel’s connection to Bauhaus director Walter Gropius, who was part of Barbara Hepworth’s vibrant Modernist circle in Hampstead, inspired this project. It is fitting that 45 Park Lane, housed in a landmark building, celebrates the period when London welcomed some of the most influential figures of European Modernism. This unique experience allows our guests to discover the city through the extraordinary life and work of Barbara Hepworth.”
Rhythm and Form explores Barbara Hepworth’s London life and her role within a community of visionary artists, writers and architects that included Walter Gropius, Henry Moore, Piet Mondrian and Lee Miller. Led by an expert guide, guests are introduced to Hepworth’s personal and creative journey—from motherhood and loss to her connections with institutions such as the Old Vic and the Royal Opera House. The experience is offered as a package that includes accommodation, an English breakfast, a two-hour guided tour with an expert, and two entry tickets to Tate Britain.
