This month, 1 Hotel Mayfair opened in one of London’s most sought-after neighborhoods. Nestled on Berkeley Street overlooking Green Park, the eight-storey property offers 137 rooms and 44 suites, including the largest penthouse in Mayfair with sweeping park views. The hotel’s launch marks 1 Hotel’s first arrival in Europe.

Beyond its guestrooms and suites, 1 Hotel Mayfair is home to Dovetale, a ground-floor restaurant led by two-Michelin-star chef Tom Sellers. Dovetale highlights seasonal British ingredients and includes playful touches such as a Knickerbocker Glory trolley that travels through the dining room to create tableside desserts. The hotel also features Dover Yard, a signature cocktail bar and lounge focused on locally sourced spirits and ingredients.
Guests can unwind at Neighbors, a convivial daytime café that transforms into a relaxed evening bar, or make use of the wellness facilities on the first floor. The wellness area includes a fitness space and a suite of Mayfair-specific treatments provided by Bamford Wellness Spa, blending modern fitness amenities with restorative spa services.
Sustainability was central to the building’s renovation. The project retained roughly 80 percent of the existing structure, applying repurposing and low-impact design strategies throughout. Nature is integrated into the hotel’s design, most notably through more than 1,600 square feet of living green trellis installed on exterior walls, which replaces former hard surfaces and creates vertical planted landscapes. Inside, every guestroom incorporates moss walls, and the property is home to over 200 plant species and numerous individual plants, bringing a strong biophilic presence to common areas and private rooms alike.

The hotel’s interiors and public spaces also showcase contemporary art created in collaboration with several artists. These installations are intended to provoke reflection on humanity’s relationship with the environment and to reinforce the hotel’s sustainability narrative through visual storytelling.
