Winter Indulgence at L’Apogée Courchevel: Luxury Alpine Escape

For the 2015–2016 winter season only, L’Apogée Courchevel in Courchevel, France, presents Koori, a Japanese specialty restaurant led by executive chef Jean-Luc Lefrançois and pastry chef Eve Moncorger. Open each evening from December 11, 2015 through April 2, 2016, the intimate 50-seat restaurant serves refined seasonal dishes such as Koori Carpaccio of black cod in miso and delicate desserts like Pearls of Japan, featuring fresh diced mango in coconut milk.

The restaurant’s beverage program includes a curated selection of sakes and an extensive tea service, all enjoyed in an elegant setting designed by architect and interior designer Joseph Dirand. Signature design elements include a double stairway that leads to the dining room, a marble counter accented with glass candleholders originally created for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, and a wine cellar that displays oversized jeroboams. L’Apogée Courchevel is part of the Oetker Collection of luxury hotels.
