Wellness Resort Welcomes New Executive Chef to Lead Cuisine Revamp

The Ranch at Live Oak/Malibu, a program focused on weight loss, fitness and overall wellness, has named Meredith Haaz as chef for The Ranch 4.0 at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village.

Haaz will design and prepare creative, nutritious breakfasts, lunches and dinners for guests following The Ranch 4.0 vegetarian plan, which is structured around a daily 1,400-calorie allowance paired with an intensive exercise program. In addition to cooking, she will provide hands-on nutrition coaching, demonstrating practical techniques to reduce fat and calories while preserving flavor and satisfaction in each meal.

Before joining The Ranch 4.0 team, Haaz worked for more than six years in a variety of roles at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village and within the California Health and Longevity Institute. The Ranch at Live Oak/Malibu, established in 2010, expanded its offerings in September 2013 when it partnered with the California Health & Longevity Institute at Four Seasons Westlake Village to introduce a condensed four-day version of its signature seven-day retreat.
