Virgin Australia Unveils New Business-Class Bar on Select Flights

Known for its stylish, well-equipped aircraft, the Virgin brand has introduced another cabin upgrade. Virgin Australia recently launched an elegant in-flight bar that opens after the first meal service. The bar is installed on retrofitted Boeing 777-300ERs and is located exclusively in the business-class cabin, so only Business passengers can use it while Economy travelers continue to receive seat-side service from the flight attendants.

Virgin Australia’s business-class product, called The Business, features 37 private suites that convert to 80-inch beds for sleeping. Each suite includes an 18-inch entertainment screen and a large console area with multiple charging ports, offering both comfort and functionality for long-haul travelers.

In addition to the new bar, Virgin Australia confirmed enhancements to its Economy offering with a premium Economy Space+ option. These seats provide extra legroom and dedicated individualized overhead storage, and they are positioned in the first five rows and at the exit rows of the economy cabin. Economy Space+ passengers benefit from prioritized meal selection, dedicated cabin crew serving only that section, and a noise-canceling headset to improve the onboard experience.

The airline also introduces a two-step breakfast service on these retrofitted 777-300ERs: a continental breakfast served early, followed by a full breakfast service later. This staggered approach aims to better suit passengers’ varying schedules and sleep patterns on long flights.

With the combination of a private business-class bar, spacious convertible suites, upgraded entertainment and charging options, and enhanced Economy Space+ amenities, Virgin Australia continues to refine its onboard product to appeal to both premium and comfort-seeking travelers. These updates reflect the airline’s ongoing focus on passenger comfort and differentiated service across cabin classes.
