United Launches New Polaris Lounge at Houston Hobby Airport

United has opened its newest Polaris business-class lounge at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The lounge blends luxurious Polaris amenities with Texan hospitality and local Houston style. Original artwork by Houston artists decorates the space, creating a distinctive sense of place.

The menu highlights regional flavors, featuring items such as a Texas breakfast skillet, chimichurri chicken and andouille sausage. A specialty cocktail, Caliente on the Rocks—made with tequila, orange juice, sour mix and jalapeño—complements the culinary offerings and reflects the lounge’s bold flavor profile.

Designed for comfort and convenience, the lounge accommodates 191 seats and includes 324 power outlets distributed throughout the area. Travelers seeking privacy and rest can use two private daybeds outfitted with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding. For freshening up, six shower suites equipped with rainfall showers are available. The lounge also provides a personal valet service to assist guests with their needs.

“As we continue to increase momentum of the roll-out of United Polaris, we’re thrilled to bring this industry-leading lounge concept to Houston, where the lounge décor, food and drink are all a reflection of the city,” said Mark Krolick, vice president of marketing at United. “We specifically designed this United Polaris lounge location to feel like a boutique hotel, with dedicated spaces for relaxation, refreshing and dining, and we’re confident that our Houston customers and those connecting through this award-winning airport will enjoy a best-in-class lounge experience.”
