United Expands More Routes and Options for Travel to Europe

United Airlines is expanding its European network for next summer by launching seasonal nonstop service to four sought-after destinations: Reykjavik (RKV), Porto (OPO), Zurich (ZRH) and Edinburgh (EDI).

The carrier’s summer 2018 schedule also increases connectivity from more than 100 North American cities, allowing travelers to reach Europe with a single connection through United’s hubs in New York/Newark (JFK, EWR), San Francisco (SFO) or Washington/Dulles (IAD).

“As we continue growing our global route network we are offering more choice and convenience to travel internationally, something our customers have told us they want,” said Patrick Quayle, vice president of international network at United. “The new seasonal summer flights provide customers with additional opportunities to plan travel to four of Europe’s most attractive cities.”

Beyond the seasonal European routes, United is adding other long-haul services: daily flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Singapore (SIN) and between New York/Newark and Buenos Aires (EZE) beginning in October 2017, and in January 2018 the airline will launch daily nonstop service between Houston (IAH) and Sydney (SYD).
