From Nov. 8–16, venues across Lucerne — including Hotel Schweizerhof, Hotel Seeburg and Grand Casino Luzern — will come alive with the soulful sounds of the 20th Annual Lucerne Blues Festival. This year’s standout lineup features Mississippi Heat, Richard Koechli & The Blue Roots Compagnie, Buckwheat Zydeco, Delbert McClinton, Cyril Neville, and Otis Clay with special guest Johnny Rawls.
While in Lucerne, take time to walk the city’s historic wooden bridge and then enjoy a scenic cruise on the lake. The Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees (SGV) operates a variety of culinary cruises, from breakfast and lunchtime outings to themed experiences such as the Autumn Cruise with venison, Fondue Chinoise Cruise and Cheese Fondue Cruise. Private charters are also available on a range of vessels, including the newly restored historic steamship Unterwalden, which features its original Rococo-decor salon.
