For a small additional fee, guests can choose preferred check-in and check-out hours, allowing for a more relaxed start and finish to their stay.
Instead of being tied to the hotel’s usual time windows, travelers can request later check-outs or earlier check-ins when available, simply by arranging it with the hotel in advance. The program is being rolled out at select rooms in Standard Hotels’ properties in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, and is designed to reduce waiting and make stays more convenient.
The fee for selecting a flexible check-in or check-out is 5 percent of the nightly room rate. That modest cost aims to remove the stress of coordinating arrival times and eliminate long lines at the front desk, giving guests the option to linger a little longer on departure day or to start their stay sooner without disrupting hotel operations.
By offering this added flexibility, Standard Hotels addresses a common travel frustration and provides a practical solution that benefits both guests and the property.
