Wild Dunes Resort, the 1,600-acre oceanfront destination in South Carolina, has announced plans for a new 153-room boutique hotel along with expanded meeting and event facilities.
The boutique hotel will reflect the resort’s existing AAA Four Diamond aesthetic and will include a standalone restaurant, an 8,000-square-foot ballroom, and a 3,000-square-foot ocean-view rooftop event space. An existing deck will be expanded to incorporate a new pool and a casual eatery, while a 14-room spa and a modern fitness center will be added to enhance guest wellness offerings.
The resort’s circulation and privacy will be improved with an exclusive new entrance for residents and a separate entrance for resort guests, creating clearer access and a more refined arrival experience.
“The new hotel and amenities at Wild Dunes build on the attributes of this world-class property and allow us to offer a captivating new first-class hotel and meeting experience which will take advantage of the Charleston area’s continued growth,” said Frank Fredericks, managing director, Wild Dunes Resort.
Wild Dunes Resort features 2.5 miles of coastline, two golf courses, tennis courts, hotel accommodations, vacation condominiums and luxury homes, as well as nine restaurants and retail shops. The new development aims to complement these existing offerings and provide additional options for leisure and event travelers visiting the Charleston area.
