Sofitel Opens New Hotel in Dubai: What Travelers Need to Know

Sofitel Luxury Hotels, the upscale brand from French hospitality group Accor, has announced the expansion of its presence in the Middle East with the upcoming opening of its flagship five-star resort, Sofitel The Palm Dubai. Scheduled to open this July, the Polynesian-inspired resort is situated on The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s iconic palm-shaped artificial island.

The resort will offer 361 guest rooms and 182 fully serviced apartments, combining luxury accommodations with extended-stay convenience. Dining options will include multiple restaurants and a nightclub, while leisure and business facilities will comprise a comprehensive fitness center, an expansive spa with 28 treatment rooms, and a variety of meeting spaces suited for events and conferences.

Sofitel already operates The Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach and has plans to introduce an additional Dubai property later this year. Although the new downtown hotel has not been officially named, it is expected to be located in Dubai’s central business and entertainment district. Preliminary details indicate the property will feature approximately 350 rooms and suites, five restaurants, four lounges, a grand ballroom and around 12 meeting rooms, further strengthening Sofitel’s footprint in the city.
