Six Senses Spas expands its global portfolio this summer with a new location at the iconic Belvedere Hotel in Mykonos. Perched on a hill with sweeping views of the white Cycladic houses of Mykonos Town and the glittering Aegean Sea, the spa opens its doors in early July to guests seeking restorative experiences through signature massages, body treatments, and curated rituals.
“We are delighted to introduce our second Six Senses spa in Greece. The Belvedere is one of the most iconic hotels in Mykonos and the spa opening supports our vision of reconnecting our guests with themselves, others and some of the most beautiful locations around the world. In all our treatments, the hotel and local guests will find an intuitive mix of science and human awareness, where our high-tech and high-touch approach defines a service that is always crafted around the individual,” said Anna Bjurstam, vice president, spas and wellness, Six Senses Spas.
Designed to harmonize with the hotel’s contemporary style, the spa draws on Myconian architectural traditions to create a calm and elegant environment. Whitewashed walls and marble floors sourced from nearby Naxos provide a cool, airy foundation, while handcrafted wooden shelving by a local artisan introduces warm, organic accents. Natural fabrics in a palette of Aegean blue and crisp white complete the design, evoking the sea and sky and reinforcing a sense of island serenity throughout the space.
The spa’s treatment menu highlights locally inspired ingredients and time-honored rituals. Therapies make use of cinnamon leaf and bark oils, honey, and fine Adriatic sand for soothing, anti-inflammatory body work. Head-to-toe cleansing ceremonies draw on aniseed, sesame, and olive oils—ingredients rooted in regional culinary and medicinal traditions—to refresh and balance. Antioxidant-rich body cocoon treatments feature pomegranate, sea salt, grape seed, and fig to nourish the skin and restore vitality.
Each treatment is tailored to the individual, blending evidence-based techniques with sensory elements that channel the island’s natural bounty. The approach emphasizes both science and human intuition: advanced modalities and skilled therapists combine with carefully chosen textures and aromas to create deeply restorative sessions.
Beyond individual treatments, the spa experience at the Belvedere aims to support holistic wellbeing. Guests can expect thoughtfully arranged spaces for pre- and post-treatment relaxation, with quiet areas designed to extend the restorative effects of each session. The integration of local materials and craftsmanship—Naxos marble, artisanal woodwork, and regional textiles—reinforces a strong sense of place, making the spa not just a treatment destination but an immersion in Mykonian culture and landscape.
The new Six Senses location is positioned to serve both hotel guests and local residents, offering a sanctuary where visitors can pause, reconnect, and recharge. Whether seeking targeted therapeutic work, a full-day wellness ritual, or a restorative touch between days spent exploring the island, visitors will find a curated selection of services that reflect the environment and traditions of the Aegean.
Opening in early July, the Belvedere spa represents Six Senses’ continued commitment to combining sustainable, locally informed design with wellbeing programs that address body, mind, and spirit. The carefully selected natural ingredients, locally inspired design scheme, and individualized service philosophy ensure the spa complements the storied hotel and the timeless appeal of Mykonos.
