Singapore Changi Tops World’s Best Airports 2016 Rankings

SkyTrax announced its World Airport Awards last month in Cologne, Germany, with Singapore Changi Airport topping the list for the fourth consecutive year.

The rankings are determined from millions of passenger survey responses, making the awards among the most respected in the aviation industry.

“To be named the World’s Best Airport by SkyTrax for the fourth year running is a significant achievement for Changi Airport and a clear affirmation that we continue to hit the right notes in our pursuit of service excellence,” said Lee Seow Hiang, CEO of Singapore Changi Airport, in a statement released during the awards.

Changi is widely recognized for passenger-focused innovations and amenities, such as 24-hour movie theaters showing popular films at no charge, a rooftop swimming pool, and a butterfly garden, all designed to improve the traveler experience.

“We do not take this recognition for granted; it is the extraordinary effort and commitment of the entire airport community that drives Changi’s success,” Seow Hiang added.
