At the end of May, SAS and Singapore Airlines will launch a codeshare service linking Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) with Singapore Changi (SIN) via Moscow Domodedovo (DME). The new collaboration offers five weekly departures and expands travel options between Scandinavia and Southeast Asia.
This expansion builds on the airlines’ existing partnership and the 2012 joint venture, which aligns schedules and coordinates sales activities. SAS and Singapore Airlines have maintained codeshare arrangements since December 2010 on a variety of European and Asian routes, and the new Stockholm–Singapore connection deepens that relationship.
SAS Chief Executive Officer Rickard Gustafson commented that the enhanced cooperation allows SAS to offer customers direct access from Stockholm to Singapore and improved onward connections across Asia through the partnership with Singapore Airlines.
The scheduled flights operate three times a week on the following pattern (local times):
- Stockholm–Moscow: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday departures at 10:25, arriving in Moscow at 13:30.
- Moscow–Singapore (+1): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday departures at 15:00, arriving in Singapore at 06:15 the next day.
- Singapore–Moscow: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday departures at 00:20, arriving in Moscow at 06:00.
- Moscow–Stockholm: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday departures at 07:15, arriving in Stockholm at 08:25.
The codeshare increases options for travelers departing Stockholm who want a single booking and coordinated connections to destinations across Singapore Airlines’ Asian network. It also benefits passengers connecting in Singapore for onward travel throughout Asia, and those traveling from Singapore to Scandinavia with a seamless ticketing and baggage transfer experience.
By integrating timetables and sales channels, the two carriers aim to provide smoother connections, more frequent travel choices, and improved customer service for business and leisure travelers alike. The route via Moscow offers efficient daytime connections from Stockholm and overnight flights into Singapore, designed to maximize convenience for long-haul journeys.
Passengers should check schedules, ticketing details and any travel requirements directly with SAS or Singapore Airlines when booking, as flight times and operating days may change seasonally or due to regulatory and operational considerations.
