Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel reopened earlier this month after an extensive renovation designed to meet the expectations of today’s luxury travelers.
The guestrooms have been redesigned to reflect Omani culture and heritage, featuring rich furnishings, sumptuous materials, neutral metallic accents and contemporary artwork. Family-oriented upgrades include an enhanced Ritz Kids program and a new Family Aqua Land, creating activities and amenities for guests of all ages. Dining has been expanded with Al Kiran Kitchen, offering views of the Gulf of Oman, and China Mood, which presents authentic Chinese cuisine alongside a tea sommelier. Meeting and event facilities were also modernized to better serve business and social gatherings.
“Oman continues to welcome record numbers of international visitors thanks to our commitment to offering world-class experiences for the modern global traveler that honor and celebrate our beautiful natural surroundings, rich culture and history,” said H.E. Maitha bint Saif Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary, the Ministry of Tourism, Oman. “The renovation of Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel fully supports this vision and we are confident that the hotel will continue to contribute to the Sultanate’s thriving tourism industry.”
Meanwhile, in the Caribbean, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has reopened in Puerto Rico after renovations completed following last year’s hurricane season. More than 100 guestrooms and suites have been refreshed with designs that mirror the island’s natural beauty. Several signature dining venues offer updated menus, and the award-winning spa introduces new treatments.
The resort’s historic five-bedroom villa is undergoing final renovations and is scheduled to reopen in December.
“Dorado Beach exemplifies the unique qualities of the Reserve brand, which is distinguished for its collection of locally inspired properties that offer heartfelt care and transformative experiences in the most incredible corners of the world,” said Lisa Holladay, global brand leader, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve. “With this reopening, the world’s most discerning travelers can once again immerse themselves in the local culture, enjoy unique experiences set apart by human connection and discover this rare estate anew while also supporting the revitalization of Puerto Rico.”
As part of its recovery and community support efforts, the property will donate $10 per booked room through February to the Flamboyan Arts Fund, the nonprofit organization founded by Lin-Manuel Miranda that supports Puerto Rican arts and cultural programs.
