Ritz-Carlton New York Central Park Debuts Signature Fragrance

The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park will introduce an exclusive signature fragrance inspired by the greenery, blossoms and fresh air of Central Park later this summer. Named “50 Central Park,” the hotel’s new scent — created in collaboration with Antica Farmacista — captures elements found throughout the park, from its meadows to its secluded paths.

50 Central Park blends fragrant notes that evoke distinct corners of the park: elderflower, which blooms near the Reservoir South in early summer; mountain mint, which appears in August around Cherry Hill and the Reservoir West; and a bright strawberry note that pays homage to the iconic Strawberry Fields. The result is a layered, natural scent intended to suggest the full breadth of the park’s 843 acres.

The fragrance will be used throughout the hotel, perfuming public spaces such as the grand Star Lounge as well as private guest rooms up to the penthouse suite. Guests may purchase a 50 Central Park-scented candle in the hotel gift shop; the candle is priced at $48. To extend the sensory experience, the Auden Bar is offering a themed cocktail created by bartender Norman Buzkofzer. The drink features Greenhook Gin, crème de menthe, plus mint and berry syrup to echo the fragrance’s herbal and fruity profile.

To ensure the scent genuinely reflected what the staff encounter each day, the hotel’s team participated in an anonymous voting process to select the final formulation. That collaborative approach was meant to capture an authentic, lived-in impression of Central Park as experienced by the people who work at the property.
