Qantas Introduces Stylish New Business-Class Pajamas

Qantas has introduced a redesigned set of business-class pajamas to coincide with the airline’s updated flying kangaroo logo. The new sleepwear, created for international routes, is unisex and crafted in soft grey cotton with a navy logo, combining comfort with a refined, understated aesthetic.

Designed by Australian fashion designer Martin Grant, the pajamas feature a raglan-style top with a seam running from the underarm to the collarbone and relaxed-fit drawstring trousers. The tailoring aims to improve freedom of movement and on-board comfort during long-haul journeys, while maintaining a smart, cohesive look for passengers.

The new sleepwear is being introduced on a wide range of international services, including flights between Australia and Los Angeles (LAX), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), San Francisco (SFO), Honolulu (HNL), Santiago (SCL), Singapore (SIN), Hong Kong (HKG), Beijing (PEK), Tokyo (NRT), Johannesburg (JNB), Shanghai (PVG), Vancouver (YVR), Dubai (DXB) and London (LHR).

Phillip Capps, head of customer product and service development at Qantas, emphasized the role of sleepwear in the overall in-flight experience. According to Capps, pajamas have become an informal part of the business-class dress code, with around 95 percent of customers choosing to wear them on board and take them home after the flight. Qantas first introduced sleepwear in the late 1990s and has periodically updated the design to balance style with the practical needs of passengers on flights that can last up to 15 hours.

The refreshed pajamas reflect Qantas’s focus on consistent branding and passenger comfort, aligning cabin amenities with the airline’s broader visual identity and service standards. By collaborating with a well-known designer and refining fit and fabric choices, Qantas aims to enhance the long-haul travel experience for business-class customers while preserving the garments’ appeal for post-flight use.
