North America Connectivity: Trade, Travel, and Transport Links

Aeromexico is expanding its Canadian network by launching new service between Mexico City (MEX) and Toronto (YYZ). This will be the airline’s second destination in Canada, joining its existing route to Vancouver (YVR).

The Mexico City–Toronto route will begin on May 4, 2015, and will be served with 124-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft. These jets feature 12 seats in Clase Premier, Aeromexico’s business-class cabin. The new service is timed to connect conveniently with Aeromexico’s flights across Mexico—to Cancun (CUN), Guadalajara (GDL), Huatulco (HUX), Los Cabos (SJD), Monterrey (MTY) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR)—as well as regional routes to Bogotá (BOG), San Salvador (SAL), Guatemala City (GUA) and Lima (LIM).

“Offering our customers improved network connectivity is one of our top priorities,” said Anko van der Werff, executive vice president of revenue management at Aeromexico. “Adding Toronto to our 2015 route plan recognizes its role as Canada’s economic capital and a leading financial center. This new connection will boost business and leisure travel between the two countries and strengthen links between Canada and Latin America.”
