More Direct U.K. Flights From Delta and Virgin Atlantic

Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways are expanding their transatlantic partnership with six additional daily services. For the summer schedule they will offer up to 39 round‑trip flights per day between the United Kingdom and 15 destinations across North America.

“The Delta and Virgin Atlantic partnership continues to offer increased customer choice on transatlantic routes to London Heathrow — particularly from New York,” said Perry Cantarutti, senior vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Delta Air Lines. “Delta’s extensive U.S. network combined with Virgin Atlantic’s strong presence at London Heathrow creates a compelling option that allows customers in the U.K. to connect easily to more than 200 destinations across the United States.”

The combined schedule delivers 10 daily flights between the greater New York area and London Heathrow (LHR), with eight daily departures from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and two departures from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

On the Los Angeles (LAX) to London route, Virgin Atlantic is adding a second daily service. This increase complements the airline’s new Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in Los Angeles, its first in the city, which opened this month. With Delta’s service introduced last year, the partnership now provides three daily flights between Los Angeles and London, serving nearly 400,000 passengers annually on the route.

Virgin Atlantic has also recently launched a second daily service between Atlanta (ATL) and London, and a second service between San Francisco (SFO) and London that will operate five times per week during the summer season.

These added frequencies strengthen transatlantic connectivity, offering travelers more departure times and easier connections across both carriers’ networks. Passengers flying from the U.K. benefit from expanded options to reach multiple U.S. hubs, while travelers originating in North America gain improved access to London and onward connections through Heathrow.

The enhanced schedule reflects both airlines’ focus on meeting summer demand, providing more seat capacity and flexibility for leisure and business travelers. By coordinating their timetables and leveraging each carrier’s strengths at key airports, Delta and Virgin Atlantic aim to deliver smoother connections and a broader choice of destinations across North America.

Overall, the expanded partnership increases daily transatlantic service, improves hub-to-hub links, and supports passenger growth on major routes between the U.K. and the United States during the peak travel season.
