MICE Groups Gather in Macau for Impactful Events and CSR

Meeting attendees visiting Macau can now take part in a meaningful community initiative through Banyan Tree’s Meeting For Good program.

Developed in response to market trends showing that sustainable practices influence the hotel choices of many meeting planners, Meeting For Good lets groups make a positive impact during their events and while exploring the destination. Participating resorts worldwide offer activities such as tree planting, beach cleanups, preparing meals for seniors, and teaching language lessons to schoolchildren.

At Banyan Tree Macau, the program is run in partnership with the Fujong Society of Macau to deliver a socially responsible experience for both guests and the local community. Through this collaboration, meeting delegates visit the Fujong Society’s center to tour its facilities and share a meal with the individuals it supports.

Established in 2003, the Fujong Society provides occupational skills development, training and employment support for people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Its mission is to help these individuals realize their potential and their valued role in society. The organization also offers life-skills training, community mental health education and outreach services.

The Meet For Good option requires a minimum of 30 delegates and is priced at $100 per person. The fee covers a full meeting setup, round-trip transportation to the Fujong center and a guided tour of the workshop. Room rates at Banyan Tree Macau start from $325 per night.

Situated within the Galaxy Macau complex, Banyan Tree Macau opened as Macau’s first all-pool villa resort. The property features 246 suites and villas and offers nearly 23,000 square feet of flexible function space, making it well suited for meetings and group events that aim to combine business with community engagement.
