Hotel Matilda in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, will host the Second Annual MAG Food & Art Festival from July 12–15. Over four days, leading chefs, artists and culinary entrepreneurs will gather for a lively program of dinners, brunches and an open market showcasing gastronomy, drinks and contemporary art. The festival opens with a Kickoff Dinner at Moxi inside the hotel, presented under the Beyond Borders theme and featuring Mexico’s standout chefs Eduardo García of Maximo Bistrot, Alan Méndez of Pasillo de Humo and Francisco Ibañez of Moxi. Live music will be provided by Los Rumberos de Massachusetts, accompanied by an art exhibition from Eugenia Martínez.

July 13
A dinner at Rosewood San Miguel led by Chef Reylon Augustin of Madeira at Rosewood Sand Hills, with featured artist Adrián González. Another highlight that evening is an intimate dinner at Casa Dragones with Chef Norma Listman and Saquib Kebal of Restaurante Masalá in Mexico City, accompanied by a presentation from artist Pedro Reyes.
July 14
A brunch at Moxi featuring chefs Eduardo Echeverría, John Gallo and René Reyes from PINCH in Miami. That night, Bovine Brasserie hosts an Australia-themed dinner with chefs Paul Bentley and Duncan Welgemoed from Africola, while L’Otel presents a dinner with Chef Justin Smillie of Upland Restaurant in New York City.
July 15
The festival concludes with brunches at Fátima 7 and Casa Blanca 7, hosted by Chef Donnie Masterton and showcasing work from artists associated with Colectivo Hoja Santa.
Across the four-day event, attendees can expect thoughtfully paired menus, live music and curated art displays that reflect the festival’s intent to celebrate cultural exchange through food and visual arts. The market component will bring together producers, mixologists and galleries, offering visitors a chance to taste regional specialties, discover new flavors and buy original artwork. Hotel Matilda’s Moxi restaurant, known for its inventive cuisine and striking design, serves as a central hub for several festival activities, while partner venues in San Miguel de Allende expand the program with diverse dining scenes and artistic collaborations.
