Malaysia Airlines and independent lounge operator Plaza Premium have announced a new partnership that gives Malaysia Airlines economy passengers transiting through London Heathrow Terminal 4 a 20 percent discount on Plaza Premium lounge access.
While Malaysia Airlines operates its own Golden Lounges at several airports—including London Heathrow—those facilities are reserved for business- and first-class travelers. The new agreement expands options for economy passengers who want a more comfortable airport experience before their flight.
Passengers can reserve access to the Plaza Premium Lounge online in advance or simply present a valid boarding pass at the lounge check-in desk to receive the discount. This provides flexibility for travelers who prefer to plan ahead as well as those who decide on lounge access at the airport.
Plaza Premium is also preparing to open a new arrivals lounge in Terminal 4, scheduled to be operational by the first quarter of the year. The arrivals lounge will have seating for up to 75 guests and feature 18 shower suites, designed to help arriving travelers refresh after long flights. The new facility will also introduce the company’s “Flight Club” healthy-eating concept, which debuted in Kuala Lumpur in 2015 and emphasizes nutritious, convenient meal options for lounge guests.
Overall, the partnership extends an affordable upgrade option for economy passengers, while the upcoming arrivals lounge in T4 aims to enhance the passenger experience with additional amenities such as showers and healthier dining choices.
