Lufthansa Opens New Premium Lounge at Frankfurt Airport

German carrier Lufthansa has opened a new Panorama Lounge in Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport. The new facility was added to meet strong demand: Lufthansa already operates two business lounges in the Terminal 1A area, and passenger numbers made a third lounge necessary.

The space was previously used by the Fraport VIP Lounge, operated by the airport. Lufthansa renovated the area to align the design and services with its own branding and standards.

Located opposite Gate A26, the 1,100-square-meter lounge offers a variety of zones to suit different traveler needs. The central area houses food and drink buffets, while smaller rooms are set aside for work and concentration. For relaxation, the lounge includes a dedicated quiet room and a smoking area. Four shower suites are available for guests seeking to freshen up before their flight. The Panorama Lounge is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Andreas Otto, group product manager for premium airlines at Lufthansa, commented on the opening: “I am delighted that by renting the Panorama Lounge we can once again offer our lounge guests the service they have come to expect from us.” He added that Lufthansa has planned additional renovation and expansion measures in the lounge area at its Frankfurt hub to further improve the guest experience.

The new lounge reinforces Lufthansa’s focus on premium passenger amenities at Frankfurt, ensuring more capacity and a wider range of facilities for business and leisure travelers alike. With the additional space and upgraded services, Lufthansa aims to reduce wait times during peak periods and provide a comfortable, well-equipped environment for productivity and rest before departure.

Visitors can expect a contemporary design consistent with the airline’s other lounges, a selection of freshly prepared food and beverages, and dedicated areas for work and relaxation. The presence of showers and a quiet relaxation room is particularly beneficial for long-haul travelers and those with connecting flights who need to refresh between journeys.

Lufthansa’s investment in the Panorama Lounge complements ongoing efforts to modernize and expand passenger amenities at Frankfurt Airport. As travel demand continues to recover and grow, the airline’s additions are intended to maintain service quality and accommodate increasing numbers of premium-class and frequent flyers.
