Lufthansa Expands North American Routes and Service Network

Lufthansa has expanded its North American network with a new seasonal service linking Frankfurt and Montreal. The carrier will operate flights between Frankfurt Airport and Montréal–Trudeau International Airport five times per week through October 12, using Airbus A340-300 and A330-300 aircraft. The A340-300 will offer 42 business class seats, while the A330-300 will feature 56 business class seats.

The Montreal service is part of a broader schedule update that also includes new flights from Munich to Toronto Pearson International Airport, set to begin June 5. These additions aim to strengthen Lufthansa’s transatlantic connectivity and provide more options for travelers between Germany and Canada.

Flights on these routes will be seasonal, designed to meet peak demand during the summer travel period. Operating frequencies and aircraft types may vary throughout the season to match passenger demand and operational requirements. Travelers should check with the airline for the latest schedule and booking information.

Lufthansa’s expanded offerings emphasize both business and leisure travel needs. With business class cabins on the A340-300 and A330-300, passengers can expect enhanced comfort on long-haul flights, along with the carrier’s onboard service and network connections across Europe and beyond.

These route additions also reflect continuing airline network adjustments as carriers respond to shifting travel patterns and demand across the Atlantic. Seasonal services like the Frankfurt–Montreal and Munich–Toronto flights help airlines optimize capacity while providing more direct connections for passengers.

For travelers planning transatlantic trips, the new Lufthansa services provide additional choices for scheduling and cabin options. As always, passengers are advised to review current travel requirements and airport information before booking and traveling.
