KLM Announces New Direct Flights Between Amsterdam and Boston

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will launch a new nonstop service between Boston (BOS) and Amsterdam (AMS) next summer. The addition complements the existing two daily flights on the same route operated by Delta Air Lines, increasing options for travelers between the two cities.

The route will be operated with an Airbus A330-300 configured for 292 passengers. The cabin layout includes 30 World Business class seats, 40 Economy Comfort seats, and 222 economy seats, offering a range of comfort and price points to suit different traveler needs.

Service is scheduled to begin on March 31, 2019, with flights operating three times weekly on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. From July 1, 2019, KLM will add a fourth weekly departure on Mondays, further expanding frequency.

Typical schedules show departures from Amsterdam at 5:00 p.m., with arrival in Boston at 6:30 p.m. Return flights leave Boston at 10:00 p.m. and arrive in Amsterdam the following day at 10:35 a.m., allowing for convenient connections and overnight travel.

“By adding a direct KLM service, we offer our customers more options for travel between Amsterdam and Boston, in partnership with Delta Air Lines. Boston is the 17th North-Atlantic destination served directly by KLM,” said Pieter Elbers, president and CEO of KLM.
