Congratulations On Winning Best Airline In Mexico In The 2010 Gt Tested Awards. How Will Aeromexico Continue To Provide Premium Services To Business And Luxury Travelers?
Being named Best Airline in Mexico is a source of pride for everyone at Aeromexico and a commitment to uphold higher standards across our operations. This recognition reinforces our daily focus on delivering a safe, reliable and high-quality travel experience for all passengers.
Aeromexico is a full-service carrier trusted by business and luxury travelers. We continue to provide complimentary beverages, meals and amenities such as pillows, blankets and onboard entertainment. Our Boeing fleet is among the youngest in the industry, averaging less than six years of service, and we maintain on-time performance above 90 percent. Investments in modern facilities at Mexico City and Monterrey airports have strengthened our competitive position. In 2010 we expanded our U.S. route network and today operate more than 450 weekly U.S.–Mexico flights. We recently introduced Web check-in and redesigned our website to improve navigation and the customer experience. In March, our reservations and check-in systems will migrate to Sabre to further streamline service for travelers.
Elaborate On Your New Class Of Service, Aeromexico Plus.
Aeromexico Plus is a refined economy-class product designed for business-minded travelers who seek enhanced comfort and service without purchasing a first-class ticket. Aeromexico Plus passengers sit in the first two rows of economy with extra legroom and receive priority boarding and baggage handling. Additional benefits include premium reading materials, more flexible fare conditions and higher priority for upgrades, delivering many of the conveniences associated with Premier Class in a more accessible format.
What Are Aeromexico’S Imperatives For 2011?
Our brand serves a wide range of travelers—visiting friends and relatives, leisure and corporate—supported by an extensive route network. Historically strong in the VFR and leisure markets, our primary growth opportunity lies in expanding the corporate segment. Engaging corporate customers more effectively will diversify our revenue mix, increase yields and reduce reliance on price-sensitive markets. As we grow internationally, we will continue to serve our loyal customers while pursuing new routes and commercial partnerships. For 2011 and beyond, our mandate is disciplined, profitable growth that creates value for stakeholders, employees, partners and, most importantly, our customers.
Tell Us About Your Career In Aviation.
I bring nearly 20 years of experience in the commercial airline industry. I began my career in 1992 with Mexicana as a passenger service agent in Guadalajara and advanced through management roles across Mexico before moving to the United States as vice president of sales for North America. In May I joined Aeromexico as senior vice president of sales for North America. Working for two of Mexico’s largest carriers has been an honor. Joining Aeromexico has reinvigorated my perspective and reaffirmed that embracing change creates opportunities to reinvent yourself and embark on new challenges every day.
