Available now for iOS and Android users, this feature automatically connects IHG One Rewards members to Wi‑Fi at more than 5,000 IHG hotels worldwide—no separate passwords or logins required. The launch complements the benefits available through IHG Business Edge, which gives small and medium-sized businesses access to a centralized portal showing spending and savings data and enables direct booking with a guaranteed discount.
IHG Wi‑Fi Auto Connect is enabled by the redesigned IHG app and IHG’s proprietary internet solution, IHG One Rewards Wi‑Fi. The company supports millions of Wi‑Fi sessions each month, and members who opt in via the app will be connected as soon as they enter a participating hotel, removing the need to enter codes or passwords. A one-time setup is required in the app settings to enable automatic connection. This functionality is especially useful for guests attending meetings or events, staying overnight, or dining in a hotel restaurant.
