Hyatt Hotels Corp. is expanding its footprint across Latin America with plans to open five new Hyatt Place properties in Central America and Mexico. These additions aim to strengthen the brand’s presence in key regional markets and provide convenient, modern accommodations for business and leisure travelers.
The first property, Hyatt Place Managua, is scheduled to open in 2015 in Nicaragua’s capital. The hotel will offer 140 well-appointed guestrooms and suites and will be located adjacent to Galerias Santo Domingo, Managua’s leading shopping center. Its proximity—about 20 minutes—to Augusto C. Sandino International Airport will make it a convenient choice for travelers arriving by air.
Also planned for 2015 are two Honduran locations. Hyatt Place Tegucigalpa will feature 126 rooms and will be positioned roughly seven miles from Toncontin International Airport, providing easy access to the city’s business and government districts. The second Honduran hotel, Hyatt Place San Pedro Sula, will offer 138 rooms in Honduras’ second-largest city and will be approximately 10 miles from Ramon Villeda International Airport, serving both corporate and leisure visitors to the industrial and commercial hub.
Two additional properties are expected to open in 2016. Hyatt Place Guatemala will provide 140 rooms and will be conveniently located about 10 minutes from La Aurora International Airport, placing guests close to the capital’s commercial and cultural attractions. The other planned opening, Hyatt Place San Salvador, will also feature 140 rooms and will be situated roughly 10 minutes from the U.S. Embassy in San Salvador and about 30 minutes from El Salvador’s international airport, offering an ideal base for diplomatic, corporate, and tourist travelers.
These new Hyatt Place hotels emphasize the brand’s focus on comfortable, contemporary accommodations in accessible locations near airports, shopping centers, and key urban landmarks. The properties are designed to appeal to a broad range of travelers by combining practical amenities, guest-friendly services, and strategic locations that reduce travel time to major transit points and city centers.
As Hyatt Place continues its growth in the region, travelers can expect consistent service standards and thoughtfully designed public spaces that support both productivity and relaxation. Each hotel will offer features typical of the brand, such as spacious guest rooms, flexible dining options, and communal areas suited for work and socializing—attributes that have helped Hyatt Place attract business travelers and families alike.
With openings staggered between 2015 and 2016, these five hotels mark a significant step in Hyatt’s strategy to expand in Central America and Mexico, bringing new lodging options to key urban markets and enhancing the company’s ability to serve a rising number of regional and international visitors.
