Hotels Add Netflix Streaming to Guest Rooms: What Travelers Need to Know

A new partnership between Netflix and Enseo now allows hotels with an Enseo contract to offer Netflix streaming directly from guestroom devices. Enseo supplies hardware, software and technical services to hospitality brands worldwide, enabling a seamless in-room entertainment experience.

“Our partnership with Enseo brings Netflix members a high-quality viewing experience on their hotel room TV. Through our expanded agreement, more hotels in more countries will be able to provide guests access to their favorite Netflix TV shows and movies on the in-room television, making their hotel room feel more like home,” said Paul Perryman, director of business development at Netflix.

Guests at participating hotels can subscribe to Netflix or sign into their existing account directly from the guestroom television via a Netflix logo on the TV welcome screen or a dedicated Netflix button on the remote control. In properties that charge for WiFi or internet access, guests can use the Netflix app without additional streaming fees. When a guest checks out, their Netflix account information is automatically removed from the room’s devices to protect privacy.

“Enseo will ensure that the television itself performs reliably, the remote and on-screen menus are easy to navigate, and the network operates at high standards across each Enseo property, giving Netflix members the streaming content and viewing experience they expect,” said Vanessa Ogle, chairman and CEO of Enseo.
