Historic Landmark Hotel Opens in Downtown Seattle — Guide & Photos

Hotel Theodore

On Nov. 1, Hotel Theodore opened in downtown Seattle as the newest property from Provenance Hotels.

The 151-room luxury hotel honors Seattle’s inventive spirit through a curated collection of local art, amenities crafted by regional designers and music programming developed with a homegrown record label.

In partnership with the Museum of History & Industry, Hotel Theodore displays photographs and patent drawings that highlight Seattle-born innovations, from neighborhood brands to national retailers.

Guest suites include his-and-her rain jackets designed and made in Seattle by Freeman, and one entire floor is devoted to the local record label Light in the Attic, known for working with artists such as Willie Nelson, the Grateful Dead and Betty Davis.

Later this month the hotel will open Rider, a full-service restaurant and bar inspired by the Pacific Northwest’s defining elements—the ocean and the forest—featuring regional ingredients and locally roasted MADE Coffee.

Guests can book directly with the hotel and take advantage of a $20-off offer when reserving through the hotel’s reservation platform.
