Arrival/Check-In: The hotel is part of a newly developed complex called The Square, which features an elegant interior courtyard concept within the airport grounds and a selection of restaurants. The complex also includes a second Hilton option, the Hilton Garden Inn. On arrival I was greeted promptly at the desk and enjoyed an exceptionally smooth check-in. I was escorted to my room on one of the two executive-level floors. The glass elevators require a room key to operate, which added to my sense of comfort and security. After my luggage was taken to the room, staff showed me the entrance to the executive lounge and explained how to access it with my room key.
Guest Quarters: My spacious, light-filled room, designed in calming earth tones by JOI-Design, offered a large desk and ample surface space, plus an ergonomic Mirra chair by Herman Miller and a cushioned footrest. Oversized, soundproof windows provided pleasant views of a nearby forested area and the Frankfurt skyline. The king-sized Hilton Serenity Bed was very comfortable, and the roomy closet featured automatic lighting that came on when the door was opened. The bathroom was well appointed, with a large walk-in shower and a separate soaking tub. The room included a small refrigerator, a clock radio with an MP3 connection, convenient electrical outlets and abundant lighting, along with blackout curtains for daytime rest. I also appreciated the dedicated tea kettle; having to boil water through a coffeemaker for tea often ruins the flavor, so this was a welcome detail.
Services/Amenities: Complimentary WiFi is provided for executive-level guests. The generous executive lounge presents a good selection of hot and cold evening dishes, cakes and sweets in the afternoon, and a substantial breakfast spread. Beverages and snacks are available around the clock. The hotel offers 10 modern meeting rooms with plentiful natural light. The 24-hour fitness center, which includes steam and sauna facilities, is shared with the Hilton Garden Inn; the property also provides an elegant ballroom and private parking. While I did not dine on-site, the hotel’s restaurants serve international cuisine, notably Rise and The Fifth Lounge & Bar. Pastries and cakes are supplied by world champion pastry chef Bernd Siefert.
The Experience: Service throughout my stay, from arrival to departure, was gracious and highly efficient. Despite the hotel’s location near two major motorways, a busy train and metro hub, and active runways, my room remained peaceful and quiet. I was particularly impressed when I asked about a nearby railway ticket information kiosk to change travel plans for a trip to Munich: a desk staff member immediately offered to escort me and assisted by handling the ticket changes. I travel to Germany frequently and will definitely choose this hotel again on future trips.
