Hilton Expansion and New Hotel Openings to Watch in 2024

Hilton is expanding its global footprint in 2024 with plans to enter five new countries and to open more rooms under construction than any other hotel company. Roughly one in every five hotel rooms currently being built worldwide is slated to join the Hilton portfolio, underscoring the company’s aggressive growth strategy.

In 2024, Hilton will open its first hotels in Bermuda, Paraguay, Nepal, Laos and Timor-Leste. Highlights include:

  • Hilton Garden Inn Asunción Aviadores del Chaco in Paraguay, scheduled to open in the third quarter.
  • Hilton Kathmandu in Nepal, which has its debut this month.
  • Bermudiana Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, opening in the fourth quarter as Hilton’s first property in Bermuda.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane in Laos, expected to open in the third quarter.
  • Hilton Dili Palm Springs in Timor-Leste, also slated for a third-quarter opening.

Beyond country entries, Hilton is also introducing its brands to new markets around the world. Recent openings and upcoming launches include:

  • Motto by Hilton made its South America debut with Motto by Hilton Cusco, which opened in January 2024.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton entered Argentina with DoubleTree by Hilton Buenos Aires, opened in January 2024.
  • Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts opened Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island in January 2024, marking the brand’s arrival in the Seychelles.
  • Conrad Hotels & Resorts launched in the Middle East with Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour, which opened in February 2024.
  • Curio Collection by Hilton expanded into East Africa with Kwetu Nairobi, Curio Collection by Hilton, opened in March 2024.
  • Canopy by Hilton debuted in the Seychelles with Canopy by Hilton Seychelles, which opened in March 2024.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores is planned for the Azores Islands.
  • Keight Hotel Opatija will bring Curio Collection by Hilton to Croatia.

  • Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda will mark Canopy’s entry into Japan.

  • Tru by Hilton Cali Sur will introduce Tru to Colombia.
  • Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton will open as an all-inclusive Curio property in the Dominican Republic.
  • Hampton by Hilton Grayston Sandton is planned for Africa, extending Hampton’s presence on the continent.
