Hawaiian Airlines has introduced upgraded versions of the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite and Hawaiian Airlines Business MasterCard credit cards, offering improved mileage benefits, expanded earning opportunities and a revised rewards structure designed to make travel to the islands more accessible and rewarding.
“As Hawai‘i’s destination carrier, we are excited to reward our cardmembers with greater benefits that make it easier for them to visit our islands while experiencing our award-winning Hawaiian hospitality,” said Peter Ingram, president and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines.
The consumer card now uses a 3-2-1 rewards structure: cardholders earn three miles per $1 spent on Hawaiian Airlines purchases, two miles per $1 on gas, dining and grocery purchases, and one mile per $1 on all other eligible purchases. There are no mileage caps, and the new rewards earning structure has been extended to existing cardmembers as well.
New cardholders can take advantage of a 50,000 bonus miles offer after meeting a qualifying spend threshold and pay a $99 annual fee. Additional card benefits include a one-time 50 percent off companion discount for a round-trip ticket between Hawai‘i and North America, one free checked bag for the primary cardholder on Hawaiian Airlines flights, no foreign transaction fees and a $100 annual companion discount credit.
The business card offers enhanced incentives for companies and frequent travelers. In addition to the initial 50,000 bonus miles, business cardholders may earn up to 40,000 bonus miles more if they spend $100,000 or more in their first year of cardmembership, providing a significant boost for businesses with substantial travel or card spend.
“Whether a frequent flyer to the Hawaiian Islands or saving for a once-in-a-lifetime trip, our cards are tailored toward rewarding cardmembers with meaningful benefits,” said Dan Dougherty, managing director of airline partnerships at Barclays. “By allowing cardmembers to earn miles faster as well as access companion discounts and mile sharing with friends and family, we’re un-complicating travel to Hawaii and making dream vacations a reality.”
These card enhancements aim to simplify earning and redeeming miles, reduce barriers to travel to Hawai‘i and deliver tangible perks for both leisure and business travelers. Cardholders benefit immediately through accelerated mile accrual in key spending categories, reduced travel costs via companion discounts and checked baggage savings, and added flexibility with no foreign transaction fees. Together, the changes position the Hawaiian Airlines credit cards as attractive options for anyone planning regular or occasional travel to the islands.
