Grand Hyatt has opened its first U.S. mountain resort and its second hotel in Colorado with the new Grand Hyatt Vail. This ski-in, ski-out property features nearly 300 guest rooms and direct access to a dedicated resort ski lift, making it an ideal base for winter sports and mountain recreation.
The hotel underwent a comprehensive renovation prior to reopening, adopting a design that reflects the surrounding landscape and regional history. Interiors present a modern ski-lodge aesthetic with muted patterns and natural materials such as wood, stone, and leather. Local artwork pays tribute to the Southern Ute Native American tribe, integrating cultural reference points into the guest experience.
Beyond standard guestrooms, the resort includes the Vail Residences at Cascade Village, which offers 84 rental homes and condominiums for travelers seeking longer stays or private, residential-style accommodations.
Dining options on property are varied to suit different occasions. Gessner operates as the signature restaurant, serving three meals daily and supporting an award-winning wine program. Fireside Lounges provide panoramic, floor-to-ceiling views alongside a cozy atmosphere and a hot chocolate bar. For quick bites and takeaway, The Market supplies grab-and-go meals and snacks.
The Spa at the Grand Hyatt Vail delivers a full menu of treatments, a retail boutique, and a full-service salon for wellness and grooming needs. Outdoor amenities include a creek-side infinity pool, multiple hot tubs, and fire pits that enhance the mountain ambiance. The hotel also offers what it markets as the largest fitness facility in Vail, supporting guests who prioritize training and wellness while traveling.
Dan Johnson, general manager of Grand Hyatt Vail, noted that the Grand Hyatt brand focuses on distinctive details and memorable experiences. He emphasized that Grand Hyatt Vail is positioned to fulfill that promise, serving guests, the local Vail community, World of Hyatt members, and hotel colleagues with elevated service and amenities.
