Epic Pass Adds Access to Top European Ski Resorts

Vail Resorts has expanded its Epic Pass to include several premier European winter-sport destinations, making it the only multi-resort season pass with access to resorts across Europe as well as its established network in North America and Australia. The Epic Pass continues to offer unlimited skiing and snowboarding at Vail Resorts properties in Colorado, Utah, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Lake Tahoe and Australia, while now adding limited access to top Alpine areas.

New European partners on the Epic Pass include top ski areas in France, Italy, Switzerland and Austria. French additions feature Les 3 Vallées, Paradiski and Tignes–Val d’Isère; Italy is represented by Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta; Switzerland’s offering includes the 4 Vallées; and Austria’s inclusion centers on the Arlberg region. These well-known destinations broaden the pass’s appeal for skiers and snowboarders seeking both North American resorts and classic European terrain.

According to Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts, the Epic Pass is designed to provide exceptional value through flexibility and choice. “The Epic Pass lets skiers and snowboarders decide when and where they want to ride, and it opens up a range of experiences — from iconic runs at Vail and Park City to the storied slopes of Europe. Whether someone skis five days or 100, no pass is better aligned with how people want to access top mountains around the world,” Lynch said.

European access on the Epic Pass is offered as a set number of days rather than unlimited use. Pass holders receive six days of complimentary skiing in France, five days in Switzerland, three days in Italy and three days in Austria. Note that Switzerland requires those days to be taken consecutively, while the other countries allow nonconsecutive use within the terms specified by Vail Resorts.

Pricing for the Epic Pass starts at $809 for adults aged 13 and up. A child Epic Pass is available for younger children at a price of $419. Buyers can also opt for pass insurance, which covers certain circumstances such as illness, injury or job loss, subject to the provider’s terms and conditions.

This expansion positions the Epic Pass as a compelling option for travelers who want broad, cost-effective access to both North American resorts and notable European ski regions, while maintaining the pass’s traditional benefits at resorts across the United States and Australia.
