Emirates Expands Flights Between Dubai and Amsterdam

Emirates will expand its Dubai (DXB)–Amsterdam (AMS) service by adding a second daily flight beginning Dec. 4, increasing weekly capacity by roughly 3,700 seats in each direction. The additional service will be operated with a 266-seat Boeing 777-200LR, configured with eight first-class seats, 42 business-class seats and 216 economy-class seats. This new frequency will complement Emirates’ existing Airbus A380 service to Amsterdam, which was introduced last August.

Emirates cited growing passenger demand as the reason for the extra frequency. The airline says the enhanced schedule and added capacity will give travelers more options for journeys between Amsterdam and Dubai, as well as improved connections onward to destinations across the Indian subcontinent, Africa, the Far East and Australasia.

The second daily rotation strengthens Emirates’ market presence on the Amsterdam route and provides more flexibility for both leisure and business travelers. With an expanded seat offering across premium and economy cabins, the airline aims to accommodate varying traveler preferences while supporting increased connectivity through its Dubai hub.

The additional Boeing 777-200LR frequency not only boosts seat availability but also creates more opportunities for seamless connections on Emirates’ global network. Passengers originating in Amsterdam will benefit from a wider choice of departure times and improved links to Emirates’ long-haul destinations, while travelers through Dubai will have more options to reach Amsterdam and Europe.

Emirates’ decision to add the new daily flight follows recent growth on the route and broader recovery in international air travel. By combining the long-haul capacity of the A380 with the flexibility of the 777-200LR, the airline can better match capacity to passenger demand across peak and off-peak travel periods.

Overall, the second daily service aims to enhance customer convenience and support expanding travel demand between Europe and Emirates’ global route network, reinforcing Amsterdam as an important European gateway within the carrier’s schedule.
