Business Class on EL AL Israel Airlines has been upgraded with new, bed-like seats, while a refreshed Economy Class Plus option provides extra comfort and value. Both offerings are available on EL AL flights departing from the United States.
“We continuously strive to provide additional options and improvements, maximum comfort, as well as superb in-flight service,” said Shmuel Kuzi, vice president and general manager, North and Central America, EL AL. “This is part of our ongoing strategy to further enrich the overall passenger experience.”
The newly upgraded bed-like seats in Business Class are currently installed on Boeing 777 aircraft operating the New York (JFK and EWR) and Los Angeles (LAX) routes, as well as on Boeing 767 flights from Boston (BOS). Select Boeing 747-400 aircraft serving New York routes also feature the enhanced seats. The redesigned configuration emphasizes ergonomics with increased seat pitch and width, improved leg support and updated upholstery to deliver a more restful travel experience.
Economy Class Plus is offered at an additional cost of $150 per person each way and is available from every EL AL gateway in the United States. This upgraded economy product delivers added legroom, greater seat recline and a wider seat cushion, helping travelers who want extra space and comfort without the full cost of Business Class.
These improvements reflect EL AL’s focus on enhancing passenger comfort and providing a range of options to suit different budgets and travel needs. By introducing more spacious seats in Business Class and a premium economy option across U.S. routes, the carrier aims to make long-haul travel more pleasant and restorative for passengers.
