There’s a lot happening in Australia this spring. Through March 29, Taste Great Southern highlights the food and entertainment scene across the southern region of Western Australia. More than 70 events are planned, including pop-up dinners, chef-led cooking demonstrations, coffee cuppings, wine tastings, farmers markets, beachside barbecues, picnics and degustation dinners, all showcasing local produce and culinary talent.
On April 11–12, OZ Comic-Con Perth takes over the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre with programming that celebrates film, television, comics and anime. The convention features panels, autograph sessions and photo opportunities with notable guests from popular genre shows and films. Cosplay, fan meet-ups and vendor halls add to the lively atmosphere, giving attendees plenty of ways to engage with creators, performers and fellow fans.
From May 15–24, the 15th Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster celebrates the unique culture and landscapes of the Kimberley region. The multi-day festival offers a diverse program including the Kimberley Moon Experience, Picnic in the Park, Music Under the Stars, the Muster Rodeo, tours of the Argyle Diamond Mine, Wild Walks and the Durack Homestead Dinner. The event spotlights regional music, food and outdoor experiences that draw visitors to this remote and striking part of Australia.
Also featured during this period are performances and events from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Moon Fair, and the Waringarri Corroboree. The Waringarri Corroboree is a traditional Aboriginal festival that presents the history, culture and Dreamtime stories of Australia’s First Nations through song, dance, art and demonstrations of hunting and gathering practices.
These spring events across Australia offer a wide range of experiences — from culinary adventures and cultural celebrations to fan conventions and outdoor festivals — providing opportunities to explore local traditions, meet creative talents and enjoy the country’s vibrant seasonal calendar.
