Delta Expands Caribbean Routes: New Flights and Destinations

Delta Air Lines is expanding its Caribbean network with new nonstop service to Barbados from two major U.S. hubs. Beginning Dec. 4, Delta will operate daily flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Sir Grantley Adams International Airport in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Both routes will be flown using Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 16 business class seats, offering passengers an upgraded cabin option for the short-haul international trip. The added service aims to provide more direct travel choices for leisure and business travelers heading to one of the region’s most popular destinations.

“We continue to expand our presence in the Caribbean to offer customers the most convenient connection options for them to fly to their favorite tourist destinations,” said Maria Fernana Price, Delta’s regional manager for the Caribbean. “We listen to our customers and work diligently to meet their expectations by offering new routes, and also enhanced onboard services to provide them with the best in-flight experience.”

The new nonstop flights strengthen Delta’s Caribbean schedule and improve connectivity for customers traveling from the northeastern U.S. and the southeastern hub in Atlanta. These additions offer more options for travelers seeking direct service to Barbados for vacations, family visits, and business trips.

Passengers can expect Delta’s standard onboard amenities for short international flights on the 737-800, along with the option to purchase or upgrade to business class for added comfort. The move reflects Delta’s wider strategy to grow its presence across key leisure markets in the Caribbean by adding routes that match customer demand.

With the December launch, travelers booking late-year or winter getaways will have greater access to direct flights to Barbados, a destination known for its beaches, culture, and events. The expanded service also supports connections from Delta’s broader domestic and international network, making it easier for customers across the carrier’s system to reach Barbados with minimal connections.
