Delta Air Lines and ridesharing company Lyft have launched a partnership that lets members of Delta’s loyalty program earn SkyMiles when they book rides.
SkyMiles members can now accumulate miles on Lyft trips — not limited to airport rides. Airport trips do qualify for a higher rate as part of the promotional bonus.
Members earn one mile per dollar spent on Lyft rides, excluding taxes, tolls, tips and fees, with no cap on the miles that can be earned. For a limited time, Delta is offering a launch promotion that provides an extra two bonus miles for airport rides, bringing the total to three miles per dollar on Lyft trips to or from any airport location (taxes, tolls, tips and fees excluded).
New Lyft users receive $20 in credits split into two $10 ride credits. All Lyft ride types qualify to earn SkyMiles, including Lyft Line, Classic, Plus and Premier services.
