Cathay Pacific will introduce an updated business-class experience later this year as part of its new branding campaign, Move Beyond, which replaces the carrier’s previous Life Well Travelled identity.
The airline plans to unveil the new business-class product in the third quarter. This launch will coincide with a refreshed business-class dining concept that begins a phased, yearlong rollout across Cathay Pacific’s long-haul network starting this month.
Details remain limited, but Cathay Pacific says passengers can expect improved in-flight entertainment and upgraded premium amenities. The airline has not confirmed whether the update will include new seats or other major cabin modifications.
Recent months have seen several other service enhancements from the Hong Kong flag carrier. Cathay Pacific has introduced locally inspired menus across all travel classes on flights departing Hong Kong (HKG), emphasizing regional flavors and curated dining options for different routes.
In addition to menu changes, the airline is expanding its lounge footprint. A new Cathay Pacific lounge is scheduled to open at Shanghai Pudong International Airport in the third quarter of 2019.
Cathay Pacific has also focused on passenger wellbeing within its lounges. In January, the airline opened The Sanctuary, a dedicated yoga and meditation space inside The Pier Business Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, offering travelers a quiet area for stretching, breathing exercises and relaxation before their flights.
Together, these moves signal a broader effort by Cathay Pacific to elevate the premium travel experience—from dining and onboard entertainment to ground facilities and wellbeing amenities—while the carrier prepares to reveal the fuller scope of its new business-class offering later this year.
