The Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is bringing back its supercar driving experience, offering guests the chance to get behind the wheel of several of the world’s most desirable high-performance automobiles.
The driving experience will be available on the following dates:
- Through Nov. 1
- Nov. 6–8
- Nov. 20–22
- Jan. 15–17, 2016
“The Waldorf Astoria Driving Experience puts guests behind the wheel of some of the world’s most exclusive supercars on a thrilling Arizona driving tour,” said Sheila Foley, general manager of the Arizona Biltmore. “For the second season we have expanded the program with more tour dates, including January sessions timed with the city’s prominent car events. Leading collectors and enthusiasts come to Phoenix each year for major auctions and the elegant Arizona Concours d’Elegance held at the Biltmore.”
Each date includes morning, afternoon and evening sessions, with each drive lasting approximately 2.5 hours. Participants will rotate through a Ferrari 458 Italia, a McLaren MP4-12C and a Porsche GT3. Occasionally one of the cars may be substituted with a Lamborghini Gallardo. Before heading out, drivers receive an introduction to the vehicles and a briefing on the route and safety procedures. The experience is priced at $999 per couple, excluding accommodations.
“Enthusiasts of iconic, ultra-performance vehicles will enjoy an adrenaline-fueled experience that includes time behind the wheel of three different supercars,” Foley added. “We’ve mapped a striking, custom route that showcases scenic desert and mountain roads, guided again by Belgian racing champion Didier Theys.”
Recognized as one of the world’s notable resorts, The Arizona Biltmore offers 740 guestrooms, a 22,000-square-foot spa, a fitness center, eight swimming pools, two 18-hole golf courses and six restaurants and lounges, combining luxury accommodations with easy access to outdoor driving routes ideal for the program.
