Alaska Airlines will expand its Salt Lake City (SLC) route network next summer by adding daily service to three new destinations. Beginning June 16, the carrier will operate non-stop flights from Salt Lake City to Boise, Idaho (BOI) and Las Vegas (LAS), and starting June 18 it will launch non-stop service to San Francisco (SFO).
Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of marketing, said the airline is pleased to give travelers more options to experience its award-winning service and competitive fares. These new routes complement previously announced summer 2026 service from Salt Lake City to Portland, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose, strengthening Alaska’s West Coast network.
The planned schedule includes one daily round-trip between Salt Lake City and Boise, one daily round-trip to San Francisco, and two daily round-trips between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. Passengers flying to San Francisco will benefit from same-day connections to Alaska’s non-stop flights to Los Cabos (SJD) and Puerto Vallarta (PVR) in Mexico, making it easier to connect to popular leisure destinations.
These additions reflect Alaska Airlines’ strategy to grow point-to-point service from key mountain and western hubs, offering more direct travel options and convenient connections for both business and leisure travelers. The new flights are intended to provide improved frequency and greater flexibility for travelers in the Salt Lake City area, giving them direct access to major West Coast markets and vacation destinations.
Travelers should check Alaska Airlines’ official schedule and booking channels for exact timings, aircraft types and any seasonal adjustments. As with any new service, the airline will monitor demand and may adjust frequencies or schedules to match customer needs and operational considerations.
