Air New Zealand Expands Popular Vancouver–Auckland Route

To meet rising demand and improve connections to New Zealand and Australia, Air New Zealand is increasing services between Vancouver International Airport and Auckland International Airport ahead of the upcoming northern summer peak.

From April 2 to May 7, 2016, the airline will add an additional return service, increasing frequency from three to four return flights per week. With the fourth flight departing Vancouver on Saturdays, the route will gain more than 3,700 seats, a roughly 33% rise in capacity compared with the previous year.

“We are very pleased with the continued growth out of our Vancouver gateway, and with the introduction of the refurbished Boeing 777-200ER on the route, it’s only fitting that we are able to offer our Canadian customers more scheduled services when traveling to New Zealand or Australia,” said Chris Meyers, vice president of the Americas, Air New Zealand.
