Aeromexico’s Dreamliner Flights to London: What to Expect

Aeromexico now operates its three weekly flights between Mexico City (MEX) and London Heathrow (LHR) exclusively with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The Dreamliner configuration includes 32 fully lie-flat business class seats, an improvement over the previous Boeing 767-200 service that featured 30 angled lie-flat seats. This equipment change increases Aeromexico’s capacity on the route by roughly 40 percent, offering passengers more comfort and additional premium seating options.

The airline has been gradually introducing Dreamliner service across its long-haul network. Aeromexico began flying the Boeing 787 between Mexico City and Paris (CDG) last October, and has more recently deployed the 787 on the Mexico City–Madrid (MAD) route. These fleet upgrades are part of Aeromexico’s effort to modernize its international offerings and provide a more consistent product across European destinations.

Passengers traveling on the Dreamliner can expect a quieter cabin, improved air quality, and larger windows compared with older widebody aircraft. The 787’s design emphasizes passenger comfort on long-haul sectors, and Aeromexico’s fully lie-flat business class seats allow for a more restful overnight experience. In economy and premium economy cabins, travelers also benefit from the Dreamliner’s advanced cabin environment.

Aeromexico’s increase in capacity on the Mexico City–London route may appeal to both leisure and business travelers who value direct service and enhanced onboard amenities. With three weekly services now standardized on the 787, customers booking between MEX and LHR will find more consistent product expectations, particularly in business class where the move to fully flat beds marks a notable upgrade.

As airlines continue to refresh their long-haul fleets, passengers should expect more routes to receive newer aircraft and improved seating configurations. Aeromexico’s deployment of the Dreamliner to key European gateways is a clear signal of the carrier’s focus on comfort, efficiency, and an improved passenger experience on transatlantic flights.
