Aeroméxico Launches New Onboard Walk-Up Bar Experience

Aeromexico has taken delivery of its first 787-9 Dreamliner, which features a new walk-up bar accessible to business-class passengers.

The aircraft, named Quetzalcoatl, becomes the airline’s tenth Dreamliner and offers a total of 274 seats, including 36 lie-flat seats in business class. In addition to the standard meal and beverage service, the walk-up bar is stocked with a selection of spirits, wines and snacks that passengers can help themselves to throughout the flight.

Adding a bar on board follows a growing industry trend. Several carriers now offer dedicated bars or lounge spaces for premium passengers, including Emirates and Qatar Airways on their A380s, Korean Air, Etihad Airways and Virgin Atlantic, which provides an on-board bar for business-class travelers across its fleet.

Aeromexico will deploy the new 787-9 with the walk-up bar on long-haul routes that include Amsterdam (AMS), London (LHR), Madrid (MAD), New York (JFK), Paris (CDG), Santiago (SCL), Shanghai (PVG) and Tokyo (NRT).
