Aeromexico is expanding its Latin American network by launching nonstop service between Mexico City (MEX) and Rio de Janeiro (GIG). This new route marks the airline’s second destination in Brazil and its 13th in Latin America.
Service will begin June 29 with four weekly nonstop flights operated on Boeing 767 aircraft. The aircraft configuration includes 30 business class seats, offering a comfortable option for travelers on this long-haul segment.
Passengers flying from Rio de Janeiro to Mexico City will benefit from Aeromexico’s extensive connecting network. From Mexico City they can connect to more than 45 domestic destinations across Mexico, three cities in Europe, two in Asia, one city in Canada, and 17 destinations in the United States. Major U.S. gateways available through these connections include New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA), Houston (IAH), San Francisco (SFO) and Las Vegas (LAS).
This new route strengthens Aeromexico’s presence in South America and enhances connectivity for travelers between Brazil, Mexico and international destinations served via Mexico City’s hub.
