Aer Lingus Unveils Biggest-Ever Winter Flight Schedule

Aer Lingus has announced its largest winter schedule to date, adding 138,000 extra seats between the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The expanded timetable increases transatlantic options and improves connections through Dublin (DUB). For the winter season, Aer Lingus will operate 350 additional transatlantic flights, representing a 13% rise in capacity compared with last year.

The airline recently introduced a three-times-weekly long-haul service to Miami (MIA), and the winter schedule adds 12 more weekly flights to the U.S. West Coast, boosting services to Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO).

“This winter is our biggest yet, with significant expansion across our long-haul and European networks. The Aer Lingus Dublin hub continues to be recognised as a fast, cost-effective and convenient gateway to North America, reflected in the 13% increase in transatlantic seats from Dublin this winter,” said Mike Rutter, Chief Operating Officer of Aer Lingus.

In the UK short-haul market, capacity will also increase over the coming months. Notable growth includes the Birmingham (BHX)–Dublin route, which gains 50,000 additional seats, and the London Heathrow (LHR)–Dublin route, which adds 56,000 seats.

Across Europe, Aer Lingus is boosting frequency to several key destinations. Capacity increases will benefit cities such as Hamburg (HAM) and Zurich (ZRH), while demand-driven frequency enhancements will serve the Canary Islands (TFS, LPA, ACE, FUE) and popular French destinations.

These schedule enhancements aim to offer travellers more choice and improved connections, reinforcing Dublin’s role as a major transatlantic transfer hub and supporting stronger links between Ireland, the UK and continental Europe during the winter season.
