Small-ship cruise operator AdventureSmith Explorations has announced a lineup of new itineraries for the year, featuring voyages to destinations such as Tahiti, Cuba and Peru aboard recently launched, modern vessels.
“Curiosity and the desire to explore new places — along with fresh approaches to familiar destinations — are two of the main themes in our new trip lineup,” said Todd Smith, founder and director of AdventureSmith Explorations.
One highlighted itinerary sails the 24-passenger Island Passage in Tahiti. Operating from May through October, this eight-day voyage departs from Bora Bora and includes opportunities for kayaking, fishing, swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding.
Following changes in U.S. policy that permit licensed travel to Cuba, AdventureSmith will deploy the 49-passenger sail cruiser Panorama to the island from December through April. In Peru, the company offers a seven-day, round-trip expedition from Iquitos aboard a 44-passenger vessel, exploring the Amazon and surrounding areas.
Additional itineraries cover destinations such as Croatia, the Galápagos Islands, New Zealand, Costa Rica and Alaska. Most cruises last about a week, and vessel capacities range from intimate ships carrying around 10 guests to larger ships accommodating up to 90; each itinerary is served by a specific boat selected for that region and experience.
