Hainan Airlines Launches New Nonstop London–China Flights

Hainan Airlines launched a nonstop service between London Heathrow Airport and Changsha Huanghua International Airport on March 23. This new connection is Hainan’s second direct link between the United Kingdom and China, following the recently introduced Manchester–Beijing route.

Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, is known for its rich history and cultural heritage. Today it serves as the political, economic, cultural, and technological center of Hunan, offering visitors a mix of historical sites, modern development, and regional cuisine.

The London–Changsha route is operated with a Boeing 787 wide-body aircraft configured for enhanced comfort. Business-class passengers enjoy 180-degree lie-flat seats, while inflight amenities include BOSE headsets and premium Bvlgari toiletry kits. Throughout the cabin, travelers have access to on-demand entertainment and a curated menu featuring both Western and Asian gourmet options, aiming to cater to diverse tastes and provide a pleasant long-haul experience.

This service strengthens air links between the UK and central China, offering more direct travel options for business and leisure passengers and improving connectivity to Hunan’s capital.
